Delivery / Pick-up

Can I get my meals delivered?

Absolutely. Deliveries to New Westminster, Burnaby, Vancouver, Richmond, North Vancouver and West Van are on Thursday and Sundays. Surrey/Langley deliveries are on Mondays only.

What are your delivery fees?

Deliveries to Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody, and New Westminster are $10-$15, South & Central Burnaby, North Burnaby, South Vancouver, East Vancouver, Downtown Core, North Vancouver, Pitt Meadows and West & Central Maple Ridge are $15-$20, and Richmond, Kits/UBC, West Vancouver, East Maple Ridge, Delta, and South Surrey are $20-$25.

Can I pickup my meals? What are your pickup locations?

Currently, we have three locations: Port Moody, West Maple Ridge & Abbotsford (Summit Centre).

What if I'm not home for delivery?

You can either leave a cooler with ice packs outside and instruct the driver to put your meals in there. Or add a cooler to your order. 10 meals per bag (so please pick as many as you will need). Refundable $20 per bag fee.

How can I change my delivery address?

Contact our team and we can change it on your customer account. This may change your deilvery day/ time/ fee.

What do I do after receiving my delivery?

Please put them in the fridge (anything going past 5 days will need to be frozen upon receiving).

Our Food

What days of the week can I place an order for?

Every week, we have Sunday's cook and Thursday's mid-week cook. We ask orders to be placed by Thursday 8PM and Tuesday 8PM, respectively.

How do I place an order?

Preferably, we would like you to place an order directly through our texting software (604-449-9690//604-227-6389) . You will receive a text a few days prior to our cook dates to remind you to order.

Can I choose my meals?

Yes, that's definitely an option. We can send you a menu/ access online so you can make your selections. If you choose menu options that have a surcharge listed next to them, that is added to your meal base price. Or you can opt for a "Variety Package" and no surcharges will be added.

If I want to speak to someone at MealsAWeight, who should I talk to?

You can always text our texting software (604-449-9690//604-227-6389). If it's urgent, you can text/call  the owner, Ellie at 604-760-9428.

I filled out a customer profile, what now?

You'll receive a text from us and we can get you started. We'll offer some options for different portion sizes, packages, and pickup and delivery methods. Once you choose your ideal package, we will send you your total for you to finalize with payment.

I have a trainer and a macros plan to follow, can you help me with that?

Absolutely. You will be asked for your macros in the customer profile, otherwise you can send them to us to customize a meal plan for you.

Is there a minimum number of meals to place an order?

We typically require a minimum of 6 meals for pick up and 8 meals for delivery.

Do I have to order every week?

Not necessarily, we understand life gets hectic and you might need more or less meals for a certain week. Your orders are placed weekly so that you can choose which weeks you'll need to skip. However, if you're ordering for the next 4 weeks - opt to "subscribe and save."

I have very specific dietary requirements and/or food allergies, can you accommodate those?

Yes we can. Please mention them all on your customer profile and we can help navigate what you can and cannot enjoy off of our menu. Or we can fully customize a meal plan for you.

Is this a subscription based meal prep?

It is done week by week, but you can opt for 4 consecutive weeks and "subscribe & save" to save 10% off your total order.

How much time do I have to review or cancel my order before delivery?

For Sunday/Monday delivery or pickup orders must be cancelled by Friday 8PM. For mid-week delivery or pickup orders must be cancelled by Wed NOON

When is the deadline to place an order?

For Sunday or Monday Pickup/Delivery = Thursday 8PM
For Thursday Pickup/Delivery = Tuesday 8PM

Ordering

How long are my meals good for?

We recommend you eat your meals within 5 days  following the labels on the lids (i.e. L1 for lunch day one, D3 for dinner day three).
If your order contains more than 5 days - please freeze the last meals upon receiving them.
Meals last up to 6 months in the freezer.

What kind of food will I receive?

You either choose your exact meals or get a variety package omitting foods you listed as dislikes/restrictions on your customer profile.

I didn't like one of the meals I received this week, what should I do?

We ask you to send us a picture of the meal you didn't like to Ellie (our texting software won't let us receive pictures/emojis) and we will update your notes. Same goes for items that you love.

Do you have keto options?

Yes, a variety. Check our menu. And most of our meals can be made KETO.

What about about vegan options?

Yes, a variety. Check our menu.

Can I get breakfast too?

Yes absolutely. Check out the breakfast section of our menu.

What are your portion sizes?

Medium and Large. But you can customize them as well by adding protein or reducing carbs.

How do you warm up the meals?

Please reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, with lid cracked.
Or you can reheat in a pan for 5-8 miutes.

Does MealsAWeight cater parties and events?

We absolutely do. From small intimate gathering, to picnics, to full buffet style weddings or events of 300 guests.

Does MealsAweight offer family meals?

Yes we do - most of our menu items can be turned into a family meal (starting at $55)

Can I order meals as a gift to someone?

Yes - we recommend purchasing a gift certificate for any denomination. If you need help figuiring out the right amount - please let us know.

Are your containers recyclable?

Yes - please recycle them.

Pricing & Payment

How do I make a payment?

Our payment methods currently are e-transfer and credit card. Paying with credit card has a 3.5% surcharge.

What are the costs per meal?

Meals range in size from Medium to XXL ($12-$15 base price)
